pieces of the puzzle

Foxy dress / ASOS shoes / hairbow & socks from Beijing markets

This is only the second indoor outfit shoot ever on this blog, the first since all the way back in February! It's been threatening to rain all day, and I just didn't feel like risking it. :D

My new hair! Indoors lighting makes it look a little darker than it actually is, but I love how it looks, and the multi-faceted blue-ness perfectly complements my array of brightly-colored hairbows! It reminds me of cartoons and candy. :)

This dress has been in storage for nearly two years, and I don't think I remember ever having worn it. Maybe because it's way too short for even a 5'2" midget like me, or the fact that I...just don't like to wear black. This time I compensated with bright pops of color, and I really like the way it turned out.

But...the bottom line is, despite how cute it is, I don't think I'd ever wear it again. So into the shop it goes!

And here's my sad little tripod that I actually have to secure to my camera with rubber bands because it wasn't built to carry the weight of a DSLR. But it did serve me well during my first year of blogging; it was my constant companion back when I took all the outfit photos myself with a dinky little point-and-shoot. Since my camera upgrade, everytime I use it is a lesson in stress management; a sudden movement or a slight breeze, and the entire setup topples over. Even so, there'll always be a special place in my heart for my flimsy little tripod. :)
