catching the blues

Last week, I went over to Cassie's house to dye her hair. She'd been wanting teal tips for pretty much as long as I've known her, so we finally decided to do it!

Here's what her hair looked like halfway through the bleaching process. I'd originally covered it with a bag to conserve the heat and help it develop better, but it fell off during a playful scuffle with her dogs.

Oh my goodness, they're absolutely adorable and infinitely cuddly!

(My hair is in a perfect bun. It was a fluke and I haven't been able to replicate it since!)

After washing out the bleach and letting it air dry...it looks awesome and ombre'd!

I stayed over for the night, and we passed the time watching Sherlock. Love love love love love this show!

Outfit photos from the next day! These photos look nice and bright, but it was actually steadily drizzling the entire time we were out there.

Modcloth top / American Apparel skirt / Topshop sandals

I've been wearing all of my American Apparel skirts! I've fallen back in love with them after rediscovering them recently in the back of my wardrobe. There's something quite special about a forgiving elastic waistband...

Sandals...not so appropriate for yuck rainy weather. But they match the bricks, so...yay?

The reveal...

It's absolutely beautiful! It actually turned out a little bit greener than we'd expected, but I think it still looks brilliant. And there's something a little bit awkward about having exactly matching blue hair with someone else...haha.

Jump shot! Always a necessity when the goal is killing time. :)

Some shots at the train station. We ended up waiting half an hour because someone *cough* is a poor planner...haha.

Cassie is adorable!
