Here are some of my new purchases from the past month or so; you can definitely see where my stylistic inclinations have been lately. I'm happy to say that I paid full price for exactly one of the above items (Zara sweater, $26); the cheapest scores were the Cotton On shorts ($5) and thrifted Cheap Monday jeans ($9); everything else was discounted from 15-75% off.
I've never had the best experience with jeans at thrift stores; those sections are usually filled with the '90s mom varieties in enormous sizes... so the other day while I was browsing the denim racks, the size 24 label was the first thing that caught my eye. Which isn't even really my size, but small sizes come once in a blue moon so it I figured it wouldn't hurt to try it on. It turned out to be the best decision of the day because they were a perfect fit; even the length was just right for my stumptacular legs haha.
I'd been lusting after a Ralph Lauren polo shirt for a while, but they'd always been way too expensive to justify buying. I mean, $160 for a single shirt? That's hilarious. But then they were 75% off at the outlet mall, and the only sensible thing to was was to get one in the most flamboyant, garish shade of orange. In my correct opinion, I think I did pretty well. ;) ;)
My favorite detail on my new shoes: sequins and leopard print! Combine the two, and the first word that comes to mind is probably something along the lines of flashy or tacky, but that's definitely not the case here.
